What John sees in heaven before the seals are being opened, cont'd
The following will be a summary of what each verse says that John sees in heaven. I won't get us sidetracked into the details of what each item that is seen in heaven stands for. My main focus will be on exactly what John sees in heaven (and even more, what he doesn't see at first...)

Rev. 4:2-3 - a throne and the one who sat on it, verse 3 describes the one who sat on the throne and it is obviously God the Father
Rev. 4:4 - around the throne were 24 seats with *24 elders sitting on them, they were clothed in white raiment and had crowns of gold on their heads. (*Contemporary prophecy teachers teach that these are elders of the church or perhaps the 12 Israelite patriarchs and the 12 appostles. They teach that this means the church has already been raptured because the elders are sitting around the throne. This is not convincing to me in the light of the rest of what I'm about to point out to you. We will take a more indepth look at the possibilities of who these elders could be on the next page.)
Rev. 4:5 describes lightenings, thunderings and voices proceeding from the main throne and tells us there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne which are the seven Spirits of God.
Rev. 4:6 in front of the throne John sees a sea of glass like crystal and in the midst of the throne and roundabout the throne were four beasts full of eyes on their fronts and backs.
Rev. 4:7-9 describes the appearances of the beasts and that they give glory and honour and thanks to Him (God the Father) that sat on the throne, who liveth forever and ever.
Rev. 4:10-11 tells us then that the 24 elders around the throne fall down before Him that sits on the throne and worship Him and cast their crowns (the gold ones on their heads) before the throne saying "Thou are worthy, O Lord to receive glory and honour and power; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." (This makes it obvious who is sitting on the thone, it is God our Father the Creator)
Rev. 5:1 tells us there is a book written inside and out that is sealed with seven seals in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne.
Rev. 5:2 a strong angel asks in a loud voice "Who is worthy to open the book and loose the seals thereof?"
Rev. 5:3-4 says no man in heaven or in earth, neither under the earth was found able to open the book or look thereon. Verse 4 then says John began to weep because no one was found worthy to open the book. So then my question is where is the resurected Jesus? Evidentally not in heaven or on earth because they could not find anyone worthy. It only makes sense that John is seeing heaven before Jesus was crucified, ressurected and taken up to the right hand of God because at that point Jesus would have been worthy to open the book. So did the church get raptured before Jesus? Of course not, therefore the 24 elders could not represent the raptured church. Jesus as the Lamb of God is not in heaven's thrown room yet so niether is the church at this point.

As stated many times throughout
this website Yeshua is a form of the transliterated pronunciation for Jesus' Hebrew Name and YHWH (from Hebrew letters Yod, Hey, Waw, Hey) is a transliterated form of the Hebrew pronunciation for THE LORD'S name. I will refer to these throughout this website so there is no doubt who I am speaking of. However for ease of recognition and understanding will also occasionally use the English forms found in the English KJVof the bible which of course are THE LORD and His Son Jesus.
