John sees what happens as the sealed book is being opened, cont'd...
Now we will start looking at parrallel scriptures in Matthew chapter 24. In Matthew 24:3 Jesus' disciples ask Him "when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of they coming, and the end of the world?" Jesus' answer begins in verse 4 saying "Take heed that no man deceive you." and continues through verse 31 with a time line of things to come culminating in Jesus gathering together his elect "from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Then also still talking to the disciples meaning that He is still talking to His followers throughout time He says in verse 33 "when ye shall see all these things, know that it (speaking of the end that the disciples asked about) is near, even at the doors." Again He is talking to His followers saying they will see ALL these things before we are gathered together to Him and the end of the world comes.

So lets see what ALL these things are... Mat 24:5-8 Many will come in Jesus' name and deceive many, wars and rumors of wars, nation rising against nation, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes, all of which are the "begginning of sorrows". Verses 9-10 then says "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." This I believe is a parrallel time frame with what is being described in the 5th seal of Revelation that we just discussed. Jesus himself tells his disciples that there was coming a time toward the end that "you" (referring to end time followers) shall be delivered up and will be killed and hated by all nations for My name's sake and at that time many (of His "followers") will be offended and betray and hate one another. Jesus clearly says this will happen before He gathers his elect to Him in verse 31 and before the end. And He is clearly talking to Christians not Jews because He is talking privately to His disciples (not publicly at the temple to the Jews) telling them "you" (referring to end time followers) will be killed and hated "for my name's sake".

Verse 11 tells us again many false prophets shall rise, and deceive many. Verses 12-13 tells us, still speaking of His "followers" that at this time "because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." "BUT he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." This is clearly telling us that this is a time of trial for His followers that will not be easy but that whomever shall remain faithful to Jesus through this time period to the end shall be saved. Verse 14 further elaborates on when the end shall come by telling us that the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall come the end. Again referring to a time just before the end in verse 15 Jesus again talking to his disciples as to end time followers says "When YE therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place... (the following verses 16-20 tells followers what to do). Jesus is clearly telling His followers, Christians that before the end they WILL see the abomination of desolation that Daniel spoke about. Popular prophecy teachers teach that Jesus is talking only to the Jews here but again remember who Jesus is talking to in this passage and that it is before verse 31 when His elect are gathered to him just before the end comes.

As stated many times throughout
this website Yeshua is a form of the transliterated pronunciation for Jesus' Hebrew Name and YHWH (from Hebrew letters Yod, Hey, Waw, Hey) is a transliterated form of the Hebrew pronunciation for THE LORD'S name. I will refer to these throughout this website so there is no doubt who I am speaking of. However for ease of recognition and understanding will also occasionally use the English forms found in the English KJVof the bible which of course are THE LORD and His Son Jesus.
